“An atheist is someone who believes that nothing made everything, something that is a scientific impossibility. An atheist will of course deny that, because it’s an intellectual embarrassment. But if I say that I don’t believe that a builder built my house, then I am left with the insanity of believing that nothing built it. It just happened. The professor problem is that on the site (www.PullthePlugOnAtheism.com), I back my claim up with quotes from leading scientists and universities, saying that that what they believe nothing made everything.”

Leading Atheist Slams New Website and Book
PZ Myers, a biologist and associate professor at the University of Minnesota, Morris, has slammed best-selling author Ray Comforts new website www.PullthePlugOnAtheism.com
Comfort says that he stirred up a hornet nest when he simply said, “An atheist is someone who believes that nothing made everything,” something that is a scientific impossibility. He maintains, “An atheist will of course deny that, because it’s an intellectual embarrassment. But if I say that I don’t believe that a builder built my house, then I am left with the insanity of believing that nothing built it. It just happened. The professors problem is that on the site I back my claim up with quotes from leading scientists and universities, saying that thats what they believe–nothing made everything.”
“Instead of addressing my question, Professor Myers predictably defaulted to the question of who made God. This is why early next month–to coincide with Darwin Day (the Feb. 12th, 200th birthday of Charles Darwin), we are publishing, The Atheist Bible and, The Charles Darwin Bible (Holman). We have also just released, You Can Lead an Atheist to Evidence But You Can Make Him Think (World Net Daily), which has a Foreword by an actual atheist. Each of these publications answers the Who made God? and many other questions. They also address the ten questions that atheistic evolutionists can definitively answer; such as why there are male and female in every species.”
Myers says, “[Comfort] goes on and on with fallacious analogies: Imagine if I said my latest book came from nothing. Imagine if I say that I don’t believe a builder build my house. It’s quite sad. His analogies are foolish. We know how houses and books are made, so he’s peddling a counter factual claim.”
Comforts reply is, “So if the professor for some reason didn’t know how a building was made (its complex internal structure), would he then conclude that it didn’t have a builder? Of course not. Every building has a builder whether or not we know how it was made.”
The professor calls Comforts claims “pathetic, fallacious, foolish, counter factual, weird, and sexist,” saying that he is “deluded, confused and ignorant.”
The author, however, said that he’s delighted that Professor Myers at least tried to address the subject. “I think its healthy for an atheist to ask questions about what he believes. Questions such as how and why did male and female ‘evolve,’ and why is it that every animal brings forth after its own kind? And which came first in the human body–the blood, the blood vessels, or the heart? Why and how did vessels evolve if there was no blood, or why would blood evolve if there was no heart to pump it, or vessels to carry it?”
“We have created a series of very short and pithy articles on the new site that can be freely emailed to potential and professing atheists. They have been written to pull the plug on atheism, and they have already proven to do just that. Theres a deafening silence from the atheist community. It was like shooting a blunderbuss into a flock of seagulls.”
Ray Comfort also co-hosts an award-winning television program with actor Kirk Cameron. He believes that the “new” atheists agenda isn’t simply to promote his godless views (which he believes is the God-given right of every American). He says, “But these atheists are aggressively trying to destroy the liberty we have in this country to love and worship God. It took only one atheist to ban Bible-reading and prayer from our schools back in 1963. They want to stop nativity scenes, Bibles being given to kids in schools, God’s name on our money, and prayer in public places. I’m not going to sit back and do nothing, because nothing doesn’t do anything. God-willing, I’m going to pull the plug on the rising tide of atheism.”
