WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says he now supports same-sex marriage, ending months of equivocation on a subject with powerful election-year consequences.
Obama says he has concluded that it is important for him to affirm that he thinks same-sex couples should be able to get married. He says he came to the conclusion over the course of several years of talking to family and friends.
Obama has previously said his personal views of gay marriage were evolving, a stance that frustrated gay rights supporters.

The Radical Homosexuals infiltrating the United States Congress have a plan:

You see, the Homosexual Classrooms Act contains a laundry list of anti-family provisions that will:
*** Require schools to teach appalling homosexual acts so “homosexual students” don’t feel “singled out” during already explicit sex-ed classes;
*** Spin impressionable students in a whirlwind of sexual confusion and misinformation, even peer pressure to “experiment” with the homosexual “lifestyle;”
*** Exempt homosexual students from punishment for propositioning, harassing, or even sexually assaulting their classmates, as part of their specially-protected right to “freedom of self-expression;”
*** Force private and even religious schools to teach a pro-homosexual curriculum and purge any reference to religion if a student claims it creates a “hostile learning environment” for homosexual students.
I’m helping lead the fight to defeat the radical homosexuals but I need your help.

When one observes President Obama’s unwillingness to accommodate America’s four-century long religious conscience protection through his attempts to require Catholics to go against their own doctrines and beliefs, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Catholic. But that characterization would not be correct. Although he has recently singled out Catholics, he has equally targeted traditional Protestant beliefs over the past four years. So since he has attacked Catholics and Protestants, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Christian. But that, too, would be inaccurate. He has been equally disrespectful in his appalling treatment of religious Jews in general and Israel in particular. So perhaps the most accurate description of his antipathy toward Catholics, Protestants, religious Jews, and the Jewish nation would be to characterize him as anti-Biblical. And then when his hostility toward Biblical people of faith is contrasted with his preferential treatment of Muslims and Muslim nations, it further strengthens the accuracy of the anti-Biblical descriptor. In fact, there have been numerous clearly documented times when his pro-Islam positions have been the cause of his anti-Biblical actions.
Listed below in chronological order are (1) numerous records of his attacks on Biblical persons or organizations; (2) examples of the hostility toward Biblical faith that have become evident in the past three years in the Obama-led military; (3) a listing of his open attacks on Biblical values; and finally (4) a listing of numerous incidents of his preferential deference for Islam’s activities and positions, including letting his Islamic advisors guide and influence his hostility toward people of Biblical faith.

Colton Dixon would rather lose “American Idol” than try to conceal his spirituality.
Colton, a devout Christian from Murfreesboro, Tenn., plans to continue using the show and social media to spread his message of faith — despite warnings from producers that it could alienate some viewers and cost him the “Idol” crown.

A Muslim leader in Saudi Arabia is calling for the destruction of all Christian churches in Kuwait because he believes that is what Islam demands, according to a report.
1. Acts of hostility toward people of Biblical faith:
April 2008 – Obama speaks disrespectfully of Christians, saying they “cling to guns or religion” and have an “antipathy to people who aren’t like them.”
February 2009 – Obama announces plans to revoke conscience protection for health workers who refuse to participate in medical activities that go against their beliefs, and fully implements the plan in February 2011.
April 2009 – When speaking at Georgetown University, Obama orders that a monogram symbolizing Jesus’ name be covered when he is making his speech.
May 2009 – Obama declines to host services for the National Prayer Day (a day established by federal law) at the White House.
April 2009 – In a deliberate act of disrespect, Obama nominated three pro-abortion ambassadors to the Vatican; of course, the pro-life Vatican rejected all three.
October 19, 2010 – Obama begins deliberately omitting the phrase about “the Creator” when quoting the Declaration of Independence – an omission he has made on no less than seven occasions.
November 2010 – Obama misquotes the National Motto, saying it is “E pluribus unum” rather than “In God We Trust” as established by federal law.
January 2011 – After a federal law was passed to transfer a WWI Memorial in the Mojave Desert to private ownership, the U. S. Supreme Court ruled that the cross in the memorial could continue to stand, but the Obama administration refused to allow the land to be transferred as required by law, and refused to allow the cross to be re-erected as ordered by the Court.
February 2011 – Although he filled posts in the State Department, for more than two years Obama did not fill the post of religious freedom ambassador, an official that works against religious persecution across the world; he filled it only after heavy pressure from the public and from Congress.
April 2011 – For the first time in American history, Obama urges passage of a non-discrimination law that does not contain hiring protections for religious groups, forcing religious organizations to hire according to federal mandates without regard to the dictates of their own faith, thus eliminating conscience protection in hiring.
August 2011 – The Obama administration releases its new health care rules that override religious conscience protections for medical workers in the areas of abortion and contraception.
November 2011 – Obama opposes inclusion of President Franklin Roosevelt’s famous D-Day Prayer in the WWII Memorial.
November 2011 – Unlike previous presidents, Obama studiously avoids any religious references in his Thanksgiving speech.
December 2011 – The Obama administration denigrates other countries’ religious beliefs as an obstacle to radical homosexual rights.
January 2012 – The Obama administration argues that the First Amendment provides no protection for churches and synagogues in hiring their pastors and rabbis.
February 2012 – The Obama administration forgives student loans in exchange for public service, but announces it will no longer forgive student loans if the public service is related to religion.

The economy is not the only thing that is wrong with America. In order for a society to function smoothly, people need to be able to trust one another and be able to expect that most of their fellow citizens will behave in a somewhat civilized manner. Unfortunately, we are starting to see the very fabric of our society slowly unravel all over the nation. The truth is that America is becoming a very heartless place. People simply do not care about one another the way that they used to in this country. Of course there are many exceptions, but the reality is that millions of hearts are going cold from coast to coast.
Both The Associated Press and the British newspaper The Telegraph recently published stories about an alarming societal trend: Children as young as 4 are being subject to gender reassignment procedures and therapies.
Though research data in recent years show that the human brain likely does not fully mature until sometime in the mid-20s, some doctors say that very young children are able to determine that they were born in the body of the wrong sex. Critics say that parents are behind the children’s beliefs.

Prominent pro-life advocate Bryan Kemper is questioning Facebook after it removed his pro-life message, a move that followed on the heels of the company’s decision to allow the posting of directions on how to perform an abortion at home.
George Dewaine Eagler
The Rev. George Dewaine Eagler, 87, our beloved father, grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at the Christina House in Franklin.
The memory of his love, inspiration and spirit will live on through all he touched. George never met a stranger and was ever eager to help anyone in any way he could. He was devoted to his Lord, his family and his friends.
George proudly served our country during World War II in the U.S. Army headquarters 151st Infantry in New Guinea, where he was awarded two Bronze Stars. He was a member of the 38th Division of the Indiana National Guard. He also was a member of the American Legion and was proud of the men and women who served this great nation. He loved his military family and friends.
George was born Nov. 19, 1924, in Tipton, to Carol Omar and Iva M. (Rodgers) Eagler. He married the love of his life, Vera Lott, on Jan. 9, 1943; and they spent 68 years together before her death in June 2011.
After the war, George dedicated his life to God by becoming an ordained minister. He served as pastor for several churches throughout his 50-year career and retired from the Edinburgh Assembly of God after more than 20 years of service. Even after retiring, George continued ministering and serving his community.
George had two brothers, Russell Omer and Carl Omer Jr.; and three sisters, Dansel L. Harrison, Dortha Della Buddenbaum and Norman Jean Immel, who all preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Claude (Terri) Eagler of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Andrew (Amber) Eagler and Erica Cullison, both of Indianapolis; five great-grandchildren, Courtney and Hannah Eagler, Kylie Price, Landon Blythe and Nicholas Cullison; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of Christina House for their wonderful care. Also, sincere thanks to the Seasons Hospice for their tireless care these past two weeks. George also was grateful to the VA Hospital.
The Revs. Lewis Burton and Matt Eckart will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Who So Ever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Dr., Edinburgh. Calling hours will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be at Flat Rock Cemetery, with military rites by Edinburgh American Legion Post 233.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in George’s memory to the Edinburgh Assembly of God or Who So Ever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Dr., Edinburgh, IN 46124.
Arrangements are being handled by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
In the world of questionable and sometimes downright silly Bible translations, one would think that it couldn’t get any worse.
After all, we’ve seen the “In da beginnin’ Big Daddy created da heaven an’ da earth” Ebonics Bible, as well as the “Apostle’s Log” Star Trek English paraphrase Bible. In a more serious effort, the New Oxford Annotated Bible was created in part by pro-”gay” and feminist scholars in order to set forth a more “gay” revisionist interpretation of Scripture.
My Catholic priest, Father Larry Swink, delivered a homily on Sunday that I told him would make headlines. In the toughest sermon I have ever heard from a pulpit, he attacked the Obama Administration as evil, even demonic, and warned of religious persecution ahead. What was also newsworthy about the sermon was that he cited The Washington Post in agreement—not on the subject of the Obama Administration being evil, but on the matter of its abridgment of the constitutional right to freedom of religion.
